National Sustainable Spice Programme (NSSP) was launched by Honorable State Minister of Commerce and Industry, Mr Som Prakash on 22nd February 2020 in Kochi. NSSP initiative has been jointly undertaken by Spices Board of India, GIZ-Private Business Action for Biodiversity, World Spices Organization and IDH (The Sustainable Trade Initiative). The primary objective of the initiative is to focus on sustainability, biodiversity and food safety issues in the major spice growing areas in the country.
